Indications: smooth muscle spasms associated with bile duct diseases: cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, periveculitis, cholangitis, and Vater papitis; uterine smooth muscle spasms: urolithiasis, ureterolithiasis, renal pelvis inflammation, cystitis, urinary pain; adjunct: in gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasms gastro-duodenal ulcer, gastritis, enteritis, colitis, spasm of the cardia and gastric pylorus, irritable bowel syndrome, spastic constipation and intestinal bloating, pancreatitis; in gynecological diseases (dysmenorrhea).

Composition: active substance: droterna (as hydrochloride) 40mg, excipients: corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, talc, povidone.

Action: relaxant. The active substance, drotaverine hydrochloride, is used in the contraction of smooth muscle of both nervous and muscular origin. The relaxant effect of drotaverine does not depend on the type of innervation and the location of smooth muscles (gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system, circulatory system and biliary tract).

Dosage: adults: daily dose: 120-240mg, in 2-3 divided doses; daily dose for children from 6 to 12 years old: 80 mg, in 2 divided doses; daily dose for children over 12 years: 160mg, in 2-4 divided doses.

Contraindications: hypersensitivity (allergy) to drotaverine or any of the other ingredients; severe liver, kidney and heart failure; atrioventricular block II-III degrees; should be used with caution in patients with hypotension; do not use on children under 6 years of age.
