Ichthyol eczema ointment 10% 20g

Ichthyol ointment (Ammonii bituminosulfonatis unguentum FP) is a drug for topical application to the skin, the active substance of which is ammonium sulfobituminate. The drug has an astringent and weak antibacterial effect. Used in the case of eczema, furunculosis and acne, it inhibits the growth and reproduction of bacteria and facilitates the escape of pus. The ointment is brown in color and has a characteristic smell.

Indications

For use in the case of eczema, furunculosis, acne as a bacteriostatic agent and facilitating the escape of pus.

Composition

100 g of ointment contains:

active ingredient: ammonium sulfobituminate 10 g,
other ingredients: yellow petrolatum, lanolin.
Action

Astringent and antibacterial with a weak effect.

Dosage

The drug is intended for topical application to the skin.
Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected areas of the skin 1-2 times a day.
Wash your hands after using the medicine.
