More info

The active ingredient alfatradiol is virtually an "opponent" of the male sex hormone testosterone. It is not a hormone itself, but merely a modified form of estrogen, the female sex hormone, which is active in the body.
If the medicinal scalp therapy is applied regularly to the scalp, hair loss can be reduced. The active ingredient inhibits the enzyme that converts testosterone into its active form, dihydrotestosterone (DHT). In addition to the hereditary predisposition, DHT is mainly responsible for the hormonal hereditary hair loss.
Ell-Cranell® is applied once a day. Ell-Cranell® is available in pharmacies as an over-the-counter scalp treatment.

Use:
The medical scalp therapeutic is good and easy to use. It is non-greasy, odorless and can be applied to the scalp with a patented applicator. Also, the scalp therapeutic does not have to be washed out again after application. It is best used after washing, preferably in the evening so that it can work overnight.

Duration of treatment:
Due to its relatively rapid effect, topical alfatradiol is a successful therapeutic agent, especially in women. After six to eight weeks, the attending dermatologist can already see the first treatment successes at the hair root, which are not yet visible to the naked eye. The maximum therapy success that is visible to those affected is given after about six months of therapy. After that, alfatradiol, like all other preparations against hair loss, must continue to be used regularly in order to maintain the status quo.

Effect on hair and hairstyle:
Even during treatment with the medicinal scalp therapy Ell-Cranell®, you can care for and style your hair as usual. It acts directly on the hair root and has no effect on the combability or appearance of the hair. Since the scalp therapeutic is not greasy, the hair does not have to be washed more often.
